12 July, Shhhhhhhh

It's quiet now....the campers have their eyes closed and are in bed for 'quiet time'.  I just tiptoed around the house to make sure everyone was where they were supposed to be.  Whew!  Yesterday Sara took Liv shopping so today she did the same for Ruby.  While the ladies were having retail therapy I took Liv and Isaac to the Norfolk Navy Base and their sailing center.  The sailing center offers a sailing program for children.  The minimum age is 8 so if Liv shows any interest she can possibly go next year.  In the meantime she has more reason to become a good swimmer.  We do not have any pictures to show from our trip, national security and all that stuff.  I'd like to say that Liv is fired up about learning to sail but she seemed overwhelmed.  I think the problem is that the children we saw today were in the 10~12 age range.

We had lunch at Baron's Pub and came home to quiet time.  Liv read to Isaac...or Isaac read to Liv, I'm not sure exactly how that went.  The books have been read so many times that I think they are memorized now.

About the same time Sara and Ruby got home with bags of loot.  The girls now have new shoes (good for kicking the ball) and some new clothes.  This is our Christmas and Birthday present each year.  Each girl is also sporting a new haircut.  I think that shopping for the girls is the high point of the year for Sara.  As I said earlier, all the campers are resting their eyes now.  Swimming lessons start in a few hours and they will need their energy for the pool.

We have some dates for the calender:  Chris will be here starting Wednesday (14 July) and leaving on Saturday (17 July).  Elizabeth arrives on the 26th and stays until the 29th or so.  Wendy and Chris come back on the 1st of August but leave on the 2nd or 3rd.  Sara and Isaac leave for Colorado on the 4th.  I'll probably fly out with Sara and Isaac.  It looks like we will not have much chance to visit Hopewell or North Carolina during Camp Peter, just too many fun things eating up our time.
