18 July, hot day but good for movies

Chris left early yesterday but had time to give the girls a big hug and wave goodbye.  After I got back from the train station the campers and I went to the farmer's market.  We bought some blueberries and peaches.  While there we saw that the Children's Museum had an outside obstacle course.  What fun!

The campers ran the course a few times but said it was too easy so the ladies let our campers make the course much more difficult...and more fun!

  After everyone got good and tired they got to do hand prints on a big banner.

By that time we were good and tired so we came home to lunch.  Sara and Isaac packed some goodies to send to Colorado.

After quiet time we went to John Joyce's pool but had to leave early when it started to rain.  That's when we decided to watch a movie.  The movie was Sean the Sheep.  We loved it!  Then we had dinner and settled down to watch the Saturday Night at the Movies...Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.  Man, was that long....but fun.

Today we made pancakes from scratch.  They taset sooooo much better than from a mix. 

While I cleaned up after breakfast the campers decided to play 'hangman'.  Isaac is at a disadvantage because he only knows how to spell two words...'ISAAC'  and 'DADDY'.

Then we took a long walk and ended up at Betsy's kiosk where we saw many of our friends.  Today we had a real treat.

One of our friends has a new dog and we got to pet her.  She's a chocolate Lab.  What a sweet dog.  It was so hot I carried Isaac most of the way home.  We had lunch and settled down to quiet time.



I think we will go to John's pool again this afternoon.
