After lunch and quiet time we all got ready for swimming lessons. This is a BIG DEAL. It was interesting to note that by 5PM we had three campers waiting by the back door, wearing their bathing suites, and acting like young adults...ready to swim. It is worth noting that today the temp was 99F with a heat index of 108F so we did not go out much. The pool was actually quite a bit cooler than the air. With that said it was still strange to see that the pool was almost empty, just the two classes for swimming lessons. Here are some pictures from the lessons:
Mr Gwapo (that's handsome in Tagalog)
Note that Isaac and Ruby were in the deep end of the pool for the very first time.
Miss Sheryl gave a class on pool safety
Ruby and Miss Sheryl are great friendsAfter swim lessons we had dinner at home, to include fresh green beans, corn on the cob and chicken. Grandad Peter attempted to meet the standards of Mom (Wendy) and got high marks, finally! After dinner we all settled in for another Movie Night. This one was Old Yellar. Readers will remember this from their childhood. It's still just as much as a tug on your heart strings as when you saw it 30 years ago. Liv could not watch the most touching scenes (Peter missed them too) but it was pretty special to watch the campers all splayed out on the bed watching with rapt attention to the movie. All the campers were fast asleep within 15 minutes of the end of the movie. Priceless!

Miss Nicole worked with Liv even when Liv said it was "too hard"
